EAGA Report:
The Choir at Mr & Mrs
Price Wedding in Soham, Cambridgeshire
|
|
The EAGA Choir ministered on 4th September
2010 at the wedding celebration of Andrew
and Oksana Price. The wedding took place
at the St Andrew’s Church in Soham, Cambridgeshire.
The bride walked up the isle as the music
played with a radiant smile beaming from
her face. The bride met her groom at the
altar as her father walked by her side.
The minister welcomed those who came to
witness the wedding and also gave his introduction.
The EAGA Choir joined another worship team
and sang “Oh great thou Art”. As the songs
were sung they did not refrain from worshipping
God. Within the wedding vows were written
a promise by both parties to pray for each
other and to share with each other. They
were then ushered out of the church with
the bridal party as they went to sign the
marriage register.
It was now the Choir’s time to minister
unto God. They ministered the songs “Why
we sing” by Kirk Franklin and “Oh Happy
Day”. Members of the congregation sat as
the choir ministered, however there were
some who stood and began to clap their hands
to the music.
The message of the sermon was about marriage
and love and how Christians should treat
each other. Andrew and Oksana were encouraged
to remember God in all that they do throughout
their married life.
The wedding concluded and the bride and
groom were presented as Mr and Mrs Price
before the congregation. As the bridal party
was about to depart the EAGA Choir broke
a slow version of “On Happy Day”. The congregation
was captivated by the sound that they heard
and fittingly the Choir ministered as the
guest filed out of the Church to take the
traditional photographs in the grounds.
