EAGA Report: Wedding of Hayley and Andrew Craven at All Saints Church in Wigston

The Emmanu’-EL Apostolic Gospel Academy (EAGA) Choir ministered at the wedding of Hayley and Andrew on August 21, 2010. The choir arrived at the venue about half hour before the ceremony and set up their equipment. They watched as the guests arrived at the ceremony clad in beautiful dresses and suits.

Soon, the ceremony began as bridesmaids decked in pink and lilac dresses walked down the isle. The bride then entered and marched down the isle rather swiftly with her father at her side to meet her groom. As the procession went on, the choir continued to watch and then they sang the songs: “Then Sings my Soul” and “Lord of the Dance” with the congregation. The congregation was delighted as they listened to the songs being sung in a way they were not used to. Nevertheless, those who chose to join in continued singing whilst some stood and watched.

As the bride and the bridegroom signed the marriage register the choir ministered the song “Oh Happy Day”. The congregation did not refrain from singing. Instead, with much enthusiasm, they joined in; clapping their hands and dancing to the music.

They enjoyed singing with the choir. The bridal party exited the building as the ceremony came to a close and the musicians blasted “Overdrive” on the instruments. The choir then began dancing as the brothers began to pack the instruments. However, as time progressed, they were called to sing whilst the bridal party had their photographs taken. They ministered the slower version of “Oh Happy Day”. The sound of the harmonies illuminated the atmosphere. There were smiles on almost every face.
