EAGA for DMU and DMU at EAGA's Heart

Our belief is in the fair and effective running of a great university that has been made a place where students come to receive their change.

EAGA for DMU and DMU at EAGA’s heart.
The light never stops burning As our aim is only for excellence-
Not to make this place great,
But greatest ever made.
Opportunities are many, at DMU we stand.
EAGA, our candle never stops burning
The light that is always shining.
The path for many, a place where destiny is fulfilled.
EAGA for DMU giving all an equal chance, an equal choice to be who they were made to be.
Representing this university with all our heart.
EAGA, desiring only the best for the university of Jesus Christ.
Together, we accept nothing less than the best.
In moulding our students to be the citizens, leaders of today and tomorrow.
Making DeMontfort University the best ever is our goal and our aim.
EAGA always has DMU at our hearts.
DMU, the university of Change.

EAGA's Christmas Day Special - 'Jesus Day'
ChristmasDMUPic Since Christmas 2007 EAGA has held Christmas Church services at De Montfort University’s (DMU) Campus Centre and provide dinner mainly for overseas students who remain on campus away from their family and loved ones. The event is entirely funded by EAGA who provide a hot buffet Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, along with refreshments throughout the day until the late evening. The event is now a part of DMU’s calendar. Some students feel home sick at Christmas and EAGA is there to provide them with the emotional support they need to feel at home away from home. The students reported that they are very appreciative of the free Christmas dinner and were made to feel at home by the friendly and jolly atmosphere created by the EAGA team. (See event presentation for Christmas 2009 and Christmas 2010).

Testimonial: EAGA Helps DMU Student

Over the years, EAGA have welcomed students in engaging the choirs in their academic projects from the likes of video and audio production, and photography, etc. The following is a testimonial from Thomas Norman, a third year student (2010/11):

"As a third year student studying Music Tech and Innovation I was looking to record with a choir for my final year project. I approached the Gospel choir about working alongside them and they were incredibly enthused and motivated in helping me achieve my goal for the final year project. I found that the choir promotes an extremely welcoming tight knit community and actively went out of their way to insure the standard of music was exceptional. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the gospel choir and would recommend it to anyone searching to record with a choir/live band, it's a truly amazing experience and topped off my third year at university."
